Occupy Wall Street Started In 1902 With Teddy Roosevelt’s State Of The Union

Okay, OWS didn’t really start in 1902, but doesn’t this message hit home with today’s issues?

I don't mind you being rich...

This sign pretty much sums up the OWS movement. If capitalism can give a minority of the people a large sum of money than so be it, congratulations, but don’t use your wealth as a form of power to even further progress yourself and further regress the people that have not found the same success that you have.
Or, in short, stop being so fucking greedy.

I Thought This Was Occupy Wall Street?!

I don’t think this dude got the memo. He really is the 1%.

Not All Protests Are Created Equal

I wonder how much shit would blow out of the fan if an OWS protester showed up packing like the chick above? (That is a chick, right?)

'V for Vendetta' Drawn Perfectly With Salt!

Bashir Sultani is an artist like no other. His unique trait is that he does all of his work with salt - everything from Albert Einstein to Skyrim. In the video below Bashir captures freedom fighter V from the popular 2006 movie V for Vendetta. Of course the Guy Fawkes mask has a whole new meaning these days being the face of Anonymous and the Occupy Wall Street movement. Regardless of its meaning, Bashir does another excellent job!

The Gruesome Effects Of Rubber Bullets On Peaceful Protesters

I’m going to make a bold prediction and say that this woman was not doing anything of a violent nature, that she was peacefully protesting. Do you think this outcome was justified? They say rubber bullets are a safe deterrent? I guess it’s a good thing she didn’t get hit in the eye…

#Occupy The Galaxy: Luke Skywalker Is The 99%

May the force be with you Luke! Fight the 1% darkside!

There was a time that pay rose with productivity...and then it didn't

Here is another alarming graph that shows how hourly wages stagnated starting in the 1980’s while productivity continued to reach new heights. Keep mind that this is happening while CEO average salaries skyrocketed 442% in the same time period. Just another shining example of the middle class getting hosed by greedy corporate America.

Bernie Sanders: I Acknowledge Class Warfare Exists

We need more Bernie’s in politics.

#OccupyGeorge.com seeks to spread knowledge via infographic stamped dollar bills

There is a new site that is dedicated to the Occupy Wall Street movement and is looking to spread knowledge through one dollar bills with stats and infographics that point out America’s class division.

Money talks, but not loud enough for the 99%. By circulating dollar bills stamped with fact-based infographics, Occupy George informs the public of America’s daunting economic disparity one bill at a time. Because money knowledge is power.

Take a look at the site, make you some stamps, deface some money…it’s for a good cause! I’m now looking forward to the day when I see one of these bad boys in circulation!

The Secret Is Out On This 99%er

Busted!

Dear Wall Street Protesters: A Message From a 13 Year Old Teabagger

Funny thing is? She and her family are still the 99%. They sound comfortable in their lifestyle, that’s awesome. But what happens when her Dad gets sick long term and can’t work anymore, or loses his job? It’s a guess on my part, but I am sure they are like everyone else and are a missed paycheck or two away from seeing a real crises.

Why is there such a bad misconception on the right that think people are lazy and just don’t want to work? We are 99%. That means we are like…everyone. If we were all lazy bums that just wanted a free handout these CEO’s and bankers wouldn’t be able to make a dime.

Maybe one day when this girl is working to support me she might realize that in whatever company she works for she is just a number. Hopefully not, but maybe she’ll be laid off or underpaid. Maybe she’ll have shitty insurance or none at all. Maybe she’ll get a dose of reality that her hard working parents have been sheltering her from. Does she think her government will be there for her to bail her out?

I don’t have a degree in “Bitter Women’s Studies”, but I am bitter.

Herman Cain: 'If you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself'

GOP Presidential hopeful (and mildly disillusioned) Herman Cain recently remarked on the the Occupy Wall Street movement with a simple message: ’Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself. It is not someone’s fault if they succeeded’. Cain went on to say that the whole movement is being “planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policy’s of the Obama administration”…really? He finally hit the nail on the head when he said that OWS comes across as anti-capitalism. Mr. Cain, that is exactly what OWS is; capitalism is a pipe-dream that American corporations and elitist politicians like yourself have ruined.

#OccupySesameStreet: Tax The Rich, Not The Muppets!

The #OccupyWallStreet movement is spreading from video games to the Muppet world as #OccupySesameStreet goes full swing. Photoshop of the week?

Super Mario is the 99%

It’s Friday, time for a little comic relief. Seems the Occupy Wall Street movement has spread to the gaming world too. This isn’t Joe the Plumber, it’s freakin Mario!

#OccupyWallStreet's Official Anthem: "Finally Here"

Not sure how this was dubbed “official” but it says the message well. Here are the lyrics:

Dear Washington and Wall Street,
We are the 99% and we’re here to stop the machine.

Why is that we only come through in times of crisis
Can’t recognize the need while we stare at our devices
See, I got the graph and I got the stats
And I got the need to keep people from the rats
More than simply a game of motivation
The idea that together we’re better then evolution
Not me against you
But really an us
See, The world is our oyster
Only we can destruct
Democracy seems really cool
The idea that we give voice, even to the fool
But see that’s the problem
With our system of learning
The fantastic drips down
And infects the yearning
Are we meant to play the game on even ground
Or is that the fairytale that makes the merry-go-round
Used to be tribes
Then the nation state drew borders
Every revolution comes from disrespecting orders
But I got hope
And I believe in peace
In Korea, South Asia and the Middle East

Cause the youth, yeah, we’re finally here
Got a future full of love
Love without fear
Cause the youth, yeah, we’re finally here
Got stand up, be proud, hold each other near

He said good morning could you raise your right hand
Step into the jurors box and take a stand
On trial are the quiet dreams of our fathers
See those dreams draw lines between us and others

Built our corporate present on them dotted lines
It’s those strange shapes that seem to plague the mind
Mine and yours
An equation outdated
The prosecution suggests it be recalibrated

My patriotic dream is recast as struggle
We the people be building out of this rubble

How many more rotations about the sun
Before my brothers in arms will lay down their guns
“We the people” is beyond a battle cry
A Formula for peace and progress in our time

The current manifesto manifests too small
Promise of living is dwarfed by the wall
My aim is not guilt nor material goods
My sights on inspiration cross all latitudes
My declaration declares one thing
Creation exists in each human being

Cause the youth, yeah, we’re finally here
Got a future full of love
Love without fear
Cause the youth, yeah, we’re finally here
Got stand up, be proud, hold each other near

Whispers of the revolution are getting louder
on the Wall Streets and Main Streets
from New York
to Los Angeles
and around the world
See, we need the corruption and greed to end
And we need to learns respect for all of our brothers and sisters
See youth, it’s a state of mind
and we preach a future full of
Love
Hope
and progress

Cause the youth, yeah, we’re finally here
Got a future full of love
Love without fear
Cause the youth, yeah, we’re finally here
Got stand up, be proud, hold each other near
