Funny thing is? She and her family are still the 99%. They sound comfortable in their lifestyle, that’s awesome. But what happens when her Dad gets sick long term and can’t work anymore, or loses his job? It’s a guess on my part, but I am sure they are like everyone else and are a missed paycheck or two away from seeing a real crises.
Why is there such a bad misconception on the right that think people are lazy and just don’t want to work? We are 99%. That means we are like…everyone. If we were all lazy bums that just wanted a free handout these CEO’s and bankers wouldn’t be able to make a dime.
Maybe one day when this girl is working to support me she might realize that in whatever company she works for she is just a number. Hopefully not, but maybe she’ll be laid off or underpaid. Maybe she’ll have shitty insurance or none at all. Maybe she’ll get a dose of reality that her hard working parents have been sheltering her from. Does she think her government will be there for her to bail her out?
I don’t have a degree in “Bitter Women’s Studies”, but I am bitter.
