Wikipedia Blacks Out It’s English Site In Protest of SOPA

Today, the Internet’s major players took a stand against The Stop Online Piracy (SOPA) and Protect IP (PIPA) acts by blacking out most or all of their content. These major sites, which included Reddit, Mozilla, and Wikipedia, wanted to bring awareness to the world what life on the web would be like without the freedoms we enjoy today. Our friends at Online University took the time to create an awesome graphic that shows how much of an impact Wikipedia makes on the web and just what we stand to lose.

Scumbag Congress: Pizza A Vegetable, Weed Still Illegal

Why is congress even bothering telling us what our food is. Don’t they have bigger fish to fry? Yes, the pun was intended.

Okay, they didn’t actually declare pizza a vegetable, but they still took the time to revise an agriculture appropriations bill that declared certain amounts of tomato paste would go towards a serving of vegetables.

And, marijuana is still illegal…

Help support the American Jobs Act, bug the shit out of your congressman

It’s campaigning season, which means that politicians are making decisions as we speak for the sole purpose of gaining a vote (or simply defeating Obama). Who pays the cost for those decisions? We do - everyday working Americans. We should NOT have to wait for political gaming to end for Republicans to vote in a bill that will help our country now.

The American Jobs Act was shot down (not even voted on!) and now it’s our turn to help. Contact your local congressman and senator and let them know that you support the bill and that they should too.

Never contacted your local representative before? Doing so is easy. You can locate your congressman here and your senator here. It takes 5 minutes to send an email that simply says “I support the American Jobs Act, and you should too!”.
